diversion: the sander races

OK, well, I know I haven't been holding up my end of the blogging thing lately... I've been, well, recovering from some hard work on the Smart Object book and starting to get to work on the Black and White book.

In the meantime, this here is what we do up in the Boston area in the winter when the Red Sox aren't playing. The New England Belt Sander Races, generously sponsored by Sam Adams (the Brewery is just next door to the fabled "SanderDome". This year the date is Jan. 31, which should leave me enough time to re-braze the frame. Again.

Enjoy, and Happy New Year!

braggin' rights

OK, I've just gotta say... there's something about going chrimmas shopping and seeing your own books on the shelf at Barnes and Noble. (ok, ok, yes, I DID do a bit of "merchandising"...)

Canon G9- THE camera to be seen with

So you know how you can put your wine glass down for a second at a party and then you're not sure which one is yours so you grab the one that's the fullest, even in spite of the red lipstick? That's how it was, with Canon G9s at Bills reception... everybody had one. (I ended up bringing a real nice one home with some fairly compromising shots of a soon-to-be-named local politician on the card, but that's another story...) We even got one guy off JPGs and shooting RAW with his.

Here's Bill showing off (and repairing, actually) his unique, Canon G9 Shoestring Neckstrap.

...would you expect any less from the guy who invented the Sears Shower Curtain Full Door Diffuser Panel?

Bills reception last night...

We had a great time! ...EVERYone was there. Lou Jones, Kathy Tarantola, Marsel, Scott Erb and the Worcester contingent, Paris, that guy with the funny hat... hmmm. where was SANCHEZ?
